Personal hygiene is a very important part of stopping the movement of COVID-19. All people should be using the following personal hygiene steps –
- Wash hands with soap and water.
- Wash hands often for at least 30 seconds, using heaps soap and clean water or use a hand a sanitiser that contains heaps alcohol.
- Wash hands as you get home from work, school, arrive at other homes, and at the workplace.
- Wash hands after touching, wiping or blowing your nose, sneezing, or after the toilet.

- Conceal the nose and mouth with a cloth or wet ones, then discard it in the bin and wash your hands well.
- If you don’t have a tissue at hand, best to cough or sneeze into the elbow areas or the sleeve of your shirt.
- Try and avoid your hands touching of your eyes, eras, nose, and mush areas with unwashed or sanitised hands.
- Best not share a drink container, glassware, plates, bowls or kitchen cutlery that has been unwashed.

- See your Doctor or GP for more advice or go to hospital.
Always keep your distance from people – stay at least 2 meters away from people you don’t live with.
- Meet people with a polite smile or wave of the hand – don’t shake hands, hug or kiss when greeting a person or child.
- Try to avoid large crowds, especially indoor events or shopping centers.
- While waiting in a lineup or walking through a busy area with people make plenty of space.
Try and Stay Healthy at All Times –
- Always eat a well-balanced diet with vitamins and minerals.
- Try and get regular exercise and deep sleep.
- Reduce your alcohol intake to a minimum.
- Quit the smokes for your health and family.
- Get a yearly vaccination for the flu.
